Christmas at St Philips

This year, Christmas will look and feel very different but the love, joy and hope that come from the celebration of the birth of Jesus remain constant and strong.

Saturday 12 December 5:00pm Carol Singing around the Fire

Following its huge success last year and back by popular demand, we will again be singing those well known Christmas Carols outside St Philips Church. Why not pop across to our friends at The Palm and grab a mulled wine and then warm yourself round our fire whilst we start the Christmas season with song.

Sunday 20 December 6:00pm Carols by Candlelight

Government rules mean that this year we cannot sing in Church, but we will have a fantastic service of nine lessons and carols sung by our amazing cantor and his friends. Space is limited for this service but we will be relaying the concert outside where you can keep warm round the fire and even sing along!

Christmas Eve 3:00pm Christingle Service

Again, back by popular demand is our Christingle Service. Whilst we cannot sing inside church we can still share in the joy of Christmas and receive a lighted Christingle. A super service for those with children and a great way to start the family festivities.

Join us as the clock strikes midnight to greet the birth of Our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Christmas Day where we will celebrate a Sung Mass by candlelight. Attendance at this Mass or Mass of the Day is of obligation for all Christians.

Christmas Day 10:30am Mass of the Day

As the world celebrates the birth of Christ, join us for a celebration of Sung Mass on Christmas Day .

Saturday 26 December 10:30am St Stephen

Today is the day that good King Wenceslas looked out on a crisp and snowy landscape. We can't promise snow, but we will be celebrating a Sung Mass to celebrate the Church's first Martyr, St Stephen.

Sunday 27 December 10:30am The Holy Family

Come and join us on the Lord's Day for our weekly worship. Today we celebrate the feast of the Holy Family, a model and exemplar of all Christian families.
